Vernal Season
The third mandala from “Modern Crochet Mandalas”, this one by Melinda Miller. Now, this one was frustrating. There was a mistake in the directions in almost every row. I did a lot of frogging. I found that by reading the directions and looking at the diagram, I could figure out what was needed. Proof reading, people. Proof reading!
Raised Brick
I like the raised stitches.
Baby Hat #2
This is the second baby hat that I’ve made for Click For Babies.
This one is my own design. Same yarn as before. Same skein, even.

This stitch was interesting to make. It would like good with rows in different colors.
Baby Hat
I went to Vancouver’s Knitting Guild meeting with my mom last week. One of the members was giving away purple yarn to make newborn baby hats for Click for Babies. I didn’t have any kids, so I don’t know from experience, but newborn babies can cry for no reason. Purple hats are given to parents when they take their newborns home. This is a reminder that crying is normal and to not get frustrated. There are patterns on the website. I used a pattern by Elisa Purnell. The yarn I was given is Lion’s Micro Spun yarn.
Lucky Mum
The second mandala from “Modern Crochet Mandalas”, by the Editors at Interweave. This one was designed by Kerry Bogert. I’m starting to think that my definition of crochet terms are not universal. However, it’s very pretty.
Diagonal Raised Double
I like the continuing pattern in this sample.
Basketweave
I love the look of this. It’s like a checkerboard!
Crochet With Beads
I’ve been meaning to try crocheting with beads for quite a while now. Finally did it. I challenged myself to do it with out any patterns or u-tube. I just wanted to see what I could do all on my own. I’m happy with it.
Karen Lynne Creates
