Llama Doodled

04/05/2017Karen Drawings 3 Comments

scan0020I was going for a giraffe, but got the neck too short and the body too long. No worries. Now it’s a llama.

Bargello in Reds

scan0019This bargello is drawn on graph paper that I got off of www.freeprintable.net.

I like how there is so much more detail when using 10 squares per inch graph.

Abstract Drawing

scan0021After I finished drawing this, I decided that I didn’t like it very much. I scanned it onto the printer and it came up upside down on the computer screen. This is much better. Perspective is everything.

scan0018This one looks really cool from a distance.

I printed off this graph paper from www.freeprintable.net. This is a really extensive site that I go to frequently to download and/or print all kinds of things.

This graph paper is five lines per inch.

scan0035Starting a new series. I’ll be drawing simple lines, cutting the paper, and moving the pieces. This is simple, but interesting.

scan0017I used to do Bargello Needlepoint as a kid. I decided to try it in markers. Here, I used Ampad brand Graph Planning Pad, no size given for the grid.

Sidewalk Cracks

08/06/2014Karen Drawings 1 Comment

scan0002Carla Sonheim sent a “test” email before the class started, to make sure everything was functioning. With that email was a picture she had taken of sidewalk cracks. You print out the picture and turn it around and around, looking at it from all angles, until you see something in the cracks.

Wingless ChickenI printed it out and drew this amazing wingless chicken.
