Some of these beads are made with the holes through the bead from side to side, and some are made with the hole front to back.

This is a very simple design. I used felt tip markers on the Octagon Color Planner Pad that I got from Mom. I started another one, using colored pencils that a friend of hers gave me, but can’t find a pencil sharpener anywhere in the house. Seriously. I’ll finish that one after I go shopping, I guess. 🙂
Harlequin Beads, in Eugene, has a monthly contest where they provide beads, you make something, and the finished projects are on display for customers to vote on. This is the set of beads given out in August for September’s contest. You have to use every one of the beads. You can add to the mix, but not take any away. The winner receives a $25 gift certificate to use in the store.
This is my entry. It was quite a challenge. I can’t wait for the next one, though I’ll have to wait until October 1 to pick up the next set of beads.
