Watercolor Tap Off
The dried watercolor paint that I tapped onto the last painting was so thick, when it dried I tapped it off onto wet paper and got this.

We had poked holes in the lids of the powdered watercolors. In this painting, I took the lids right off and sprinkled larger quantities onto the surface. It’s a different look.

I feel like I’m finally getting closer to my goal in these powdered watercolor paintings. I think the key is less water on the page. That, and don’t get distracted by, “What happens if I…?”

Had to try the alcohol spritz thing again.

Those big white spots are where I spritzed with alcohol before adding the powdered paint. Interesting.

I didn’t like this one. Kept adding things, and I still didn’t like it. Finally, I did a water wash over the whole thing. Now I like it.
