Watercolor Sprinkles X

Another try at using larger quantities of the powdered watercolor paint. I’m noticing that different colors do different things. Hm.

This is another press of a painting. I think this would make a good background.

I tried using much more of the powdered paint here. Not what I expected, but I like it.

This is just a piece of paper that I put down over a painting to see what I would get. It needs more, maybe pens or markers.

Still playing with the powdered watercolor paint. You can see what happens if you don’t get water on all parts of the paper in the first step. And, still having pooling problems.

This is another one that has multiple layers of different techniques. Love how that yellow spot turned out.

THIS is what I’ve been going for. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what I did. At least I’m having fun!

Layers

In this one, I kept layering watercolor paint. Used a brush. Used a straw. Used salt. Used some powdered paint. I think I finally like it. Took long enough.

Ok. this time, I put mass quantities of the watercolor dust all over the paper. This is better. Do you see the red starburst? That’s what I’m going for, but all over the page.

Dark

This one started out as just black watercolor paint. Then, I added salt, both table and rock, and a spritz of rubbing alcohol. I think this is very interesting.
