This is some actual marbling. It’s just very faint. I let the paper sit on the water and paint a little bit on these. Before I was picking up the paper right away. Patience is not strong in me. Now, I gotta work on getting it brighter.

Marbling Again
I decided to try marbling again. This time I used acrylic paint instead of fingernail polish. Well, at least it didn’t dry out too fast. And the color stays on the paper. Hm.

Carla Sonheim posted a tutorial on her BLOG on how to marble on water with fingernail polish. Here’s the link http://www.carlasonheim.com/marbling-with-nail-polish/. She makes it look so easy! I didn’t have such great luck. The polish dried on the water pretty much immediately and I was unable to get it to swirl around much. And, once it dried, the polish is flaking off the paper. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong.
This one is the best. And not that great.
