This is done with alcohol ink. Ink is dropped onto very special, very expensive, paper. It was really fun to watch the ink spread out.

We had poked holes in the lids of the powdered watercolors. In this painting, I took the lids right off and sprinkled larger quantities onto the surface. It’s a different look.
