I feel like I’m finally getting closer to my goal in these powdered watercolor paintings. I think the key is less water on the page. That, and don’t get distracted by, “What happens if I…?”

Those big white spots are where I spritzed with alcohol before adding the powdered paint. Interesting.

Mom pulled out some alcohol ink sprays, and we went nuts. These are fun! They were old and we had to play with them a bit to get them to spray right. This is an early try. I was just doing one squirt with each color.

I didn’t like this one. Kept adding things, and I still didn’t like it. Finally, I did a water wash over the whole thing. Now I like it.
