This book has taught me so much about crocheting. Each stitch has both written directions and charts. The pictures of the stitches are very good. I recommend starting at the beginning and crocheting each and every stitch.

These three samples are called Thermal Stitch. I heard about this stitch in an online class. Don’t remember who taught it. Sorry. Anyway. The stitches are extra thick. I did a sample in sc, hdc, and dc.
I hope you can see how thick they are. Wouldn’t this be a great stitch for winter socks?
