The tan part, I think it’s supposed to be sea grass. Looks more like french fries to me. Or maybe I’m just hungry.

The second part isn’t as close to the reference as the first part was. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to be, and that might be part of the problem.
Lesson 16, Part 1
This is only one section of the lesson. I was just so excited about it, I’m showing it to you before it’s done. It will be an underwater scene when it’s done. These sponges that I painted look just like the reference painting! I’m really happy with the shapes of the sponges, as well as the shading. And I did it with out drawing it in first. It’s all just me painting free hand. 🙂
